Master’s Thesis Opportunities
I am offering three master’s thesis projects with Clemens Dransfeld at PAAM Lab, TU Delft, exploring new approaches to modelling and generating 3D fiber-reinforced composite microstructures:
- Deep generative models: Learn microstructure patterns and continuity across depth directly from CT image stacks using diffusion models or conditional variational autoencoders.
- Neighborhood-aware stochastic generation: Extend our statistical framework to preserve coherent fiber groups and persistent spatial neighborhoods.
- Blender-based compaction simulations: Investigate how nip-roller processing parameters influence fiber rearrangement and misalignment through soft-body simulations.
Explore the full proposals on the PAAM Lab opportunities page and many more interesting topics.
